I've been having some frustrating experiences in my own tree and as a helper with "Needs more information." Of course, we all know that when they changed rules for submission whether it was the use of parentheses in names or format of dates or from 95 to 110 years, they stopped all temple work on names without grandfathering them into the newer situation (thus leaving patrons who thought is was done clueless and tying up names). That said. Can someone look at Willis Hampton Cox LM96-SSL and tell me why he needs more information? I've checked for duplications in both parents and Willis. The names and dates are sufficient. Why do we need more information? What what is the big SECRET? I wish they'd give me a hint! Michele
It looks like you fixed it by changing the place to a standardized place? There can be several reasons. 1. Name in wrong place. Happened to me once - and had support look at it, and found it was given name shifted to surname box. Edited to make it right. 2. Parents, even way over 110 years ago, can have "living" tagged in their record. Need to edit it out. 3. "Not Available" has at least 2 different reasons. top 2 reasons, famous person or Jewish. If it is your relative, request assistance through support to clean up the record. That what I did with one Governor of one state because of a mixup of two different persons with almost same dates. 4. Sensitive areas: entire Middle East, both Jewish, Arab and Christian. Will not be visible to the person doing research at all. Must contact headquarter support staff, not the online support for assistance if preparing for temple ordinances. One of FHL missionaries has Lebanonese ancestry (Maronite Christian) and for that reason his people who are still living in Lebanon has to be protected from any reprisals. It certainly was easier for me when the tool box was on the top instead of the bottom. I use the tool box for duplicates 95% of the time and the print box never. By putting it on the bottom I have to scroll down every time. This a.m. I had 11 duplicate males and 11 duplicates of his 2 wives, and then there were the children duplicates and their spouses. It was at least an hour and a half or longer to get things fixed for just the one family. Steve Kelsey
