You can already do what is mentioned below with the free version of Ancestral Quest. AQ is really the upgrade to PAF, made by the same company. And you can do much more with AQ, including synchronizing data with new.familysearch.org. The connection to Family Tree will be coming in the next few months. I am finding it very helpful to set the summaries for my part of the tree at new.familysearch.org using AQ. There is a lot of hidden data there that I can see and bring up to the summary using AQ. You can even use your old PAF file in AQ to sync data and go back to PAF any time you want. One word of caution: If you add sources using AQ then go back to PAF you will have errors because PAF cannot handle sources like AQ does. I used my PAF file in AQ for a while and when I was comfortable with AQ converted to the AQ version. There is not as much in the way of training videos online at http://www.ancquest.com/InclineSoftware.htm as the other products. There is blog called AQ Will Do at http://aqwilldo.wordpress.com/ that I have found helpful. I would prefer to focus teaching efforts on this or one of the other newer products like RootsMagic or Legacy Family Tree that can "talk" to new.familysearch or Family Tree. Ann A.
