    3. This discussion reminds me of a humorous incident while my wife and I were serving as Directors of the New York FHC in Manhattan a few years ago. The Public Affairs people asked us to do some research on the family history of several of the NBC Today show people, e.g. Al Roker, the weather guy and Jody Applegate, the weekend anchor lady. They gave us the starting info and we found all kinds of stuff on their ancestry. In Jody Applegate's case they only wanted us to follow her mother's line so we left her father's name and line blank. I entered all our info in PAF and when I printed the FGS's, it showed her mother fine, but it said "Father Unknown"! I quickly realized that if they showed that on TV it could be disastrous, so I put "Father Not Entered" or something like that in the father field. It might be wise for genealogy program authors to think carefully what they automatically put in blanks that have no data. BTW, you can always just put in underscores in a name field so it prints as a place holder. I'm not aware of any way that you can have PAF print the wife field on top on a FGS. I got a canned email back unresponsive to my question basically saying the church wasn't supporting PAF anymore and suggesting I get another software package. I finally gave up on the phone, the receptionist didn't seem to recognize the word PAF and I was on hold for too long to continue. > > Does anyone know if there is a way you can run a family group sheet in PAF and put the wife at the top of the page? > > Gay > > Please send the one word message SUBSCRIBE or UNSUBSCRIBE to LDS-WARD-CONSULTANT-L-REQUEST@ROOTSWEB.COM > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to LDS-WARD-CONSULTANT-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message > > Please send the one word message SUBSCRIBE or UNSUBSCRIBE to LDS-WARD-CONSULTANT-L-REQUEST@ROOTSWEB.COM > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to LDS-WARD-CONSULTANT-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message -- Dr. Donald R.
