    3. I agree with the ideas not to judge our ancestors. Sometimes we have these horrible feelings about situations. If we do not want to do the ordinances personally because of our own relationships to someone on our family tree, we can submit their information to the general temple file (share feature on Family Tree). Extractions have brought a lot of changes to submissions over the years. Before extractions, we had some strict rules but it Is impossible to "know" the people from extractions. How did we know who was divorced? Which couples had children? Which spouses were faithful or unfaithful? These types of questions were not answered through extractions. We are now able to seal children to their divorced parents (this was not always the case). We can seal deceased women to all their deceased spouses IF we follow the rules of precedence as outlined by the recent guidelines on submission. It doesn't matter if there are children from a marriage or not. We seal couples together without regard to whether they were parents together . We are even able to seal together deceased couples who lived together and/or had children together without a marriage between them. We don't need to worry because it will be taken care of in due time. We simply do the ordinances as they are needed. We were able to seal my husband's grandfather (he had adopted my mother-in-law as a child) to his second wife. She had been sealed in life to her first husband and he had been sealed to his first wife (they divorced). One day we realized that the little arrow of opportunity was flashing green and so we cleared the sealing to spouse ordinance for this grandfather and his second wife. It was a very nice experience at the temple. We will let the Lord figure it out because He is loving and merciful. Mary Scott Aurora, Illinois
