    2. Doggone. I actually edited that name and took out the parenthesis myself this morning! Will try again. Michele In a message dated 6/3/2013 11:23:54 A.M. Pacific Daylight Time, cathetaylor1@comcast.net writes: Michele, I looked at it and it is because there is a () showing in his middle name. Family tree will not allow that. I went back into new.familysearch.org and changed it to the name without the () in the middle name, so my name is showing now. Look under Summary on the record and see the different names and chose the one that matched in Family Tree. Right now they have to match. It has to be showing exactly the same in both new.familysearch and in Family Tree. 3. Everyone: I thought that everyone could benefit from an answer to this question-- Here is the response from the Help Center-- Temple Work for Restricted Localities posted: 20 May 2013 An individual wants to reserve family names for temple work in a restricted locality. The Church is sensitive to certain localities because of the political or religious beliefs of the people in those areas. We do not provide lists of the restricted countries. Ordinances from these localities are not available for public view, but they are still preserved, and the work is valid. Permission is required from Church headquarters to do work for individuals from these localities. Why is permission required? This allows us to verify your relationship and also make sure the work hasn't already been completed. What else is required? Submit a case through the Help Center in Family Tree Feedback. To access this screen in Family Tree: Select the Feedback link near the bottom of the FamilySearch.org website. Select Click here to report a problem. Next, select Click here to submit your problem. In the Category field choose Family Tree. In the Brief Description, please type: "Restricted area." If you have family members that need work completed or would like to locate ordinance dates, please provide in the Details field: Names. Birth and death information. Person identifier numbers from Family Tree. Mark E. 3. What do you suggest for infant brothers with the same name? In my PAF file, I list them as (for example): "John (first)," "John (second)" and "John (third)." They are not on FT yet, but any ideas how to make sure they do not get merged/combined? > From: JCBrooks@aol.com > Date: Mon, 3 Jun 2013 14:36:29 -0400 > To: lds-ward-consultant@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: [LDS-WC] "Needs more information" > > Doggone. 3. the key is through Possible Duplicates. When they come up, tag them as not a match and explain why. I had two yesterday and tagged them as older/younger brothers, with older died in infancy.
