We have discussed before releasing names into the Temple system. I released 14 male names for endowment into the system on 2 Dec 2011 and then periodically check to see if there is any progress on them. I see today that those endowments were all completed on 17 Mar 2012 - not bad! They haven't been picked up for SP yet, but I expect that will happen soon. Megan Smith Las Vegas, NV

First a bit of explanation:   For the past few weeks I have been requesting family file names to be done in temple file. (This means that I have been "releasing" the names from my own file as the ordinance cards have been printed. Then I go back into the pedigree to request the names. When the temple ordinance list loads, I have been placing these names into temple file.)   I have had to re-assign the names from family file to temple file because I just can't get the ordinances done.   This morning as I was working with the NFS temple ordinance list, I noticed that some of the names I requested endowments for in the past 30 days have moved into the queue to have their ordinances completed.   Meanwhile, names that were originally placed into the general temple file even 1 or 2 years ago are still waiting, waiting, waiting.   This raises lots of questions in my mind. How are these names being assigned?   The endowments are not being done in only my local temple. In my earlier email I meant to specifically state that I was requesting the endowments through temple file. Those are the ordinances which seem to have a conflict in how long between they are requested and processed.   It is so easy to have the baptisms and confirmations completed with a week or two.   The initiatories usually follow in another month.   The endowments which we were discussing seem to take a varying amount of time. As I said earlier, I am waiting on the endowments for names in the general temple file from over 18 months but some I just assigned to the general temple file in the past month are being processed for their endowments.   However, I have asked for sealing to parents ordinances and within minutes (literally 5 or 10 minutes) from being assigned to the general temple file, the sealing cards were being processed by a temple somewhere.   Just wanted to clarify what I was wrote earlier this afternoon.   Thanks for listening.   Mary Scott
