Quotes - re: family history D&C 138:10, 14-17, 48; "Because I have been given much, I too must give..." 2. Approaches to speaking on Family History - not as a how-to, not as a "why-to" but from the impact it has had on you. Think about a time when someone gave you a gift that you really wanted, that you had waited for a long time to get. How happy were you when finally you received that gift? Then think of how those whom you have helped to receive their temple ordinances must feel: the gratitude that must fill their hearts both to the Savior for having redeemed their souls and to you who have opened the door to eternal family life via the ordinances of the Holy Temple. Imagine their joy as you contemplate their being notified that these ordinances have been done for them. Share with the Savior the knowledge and satisfaction that you have participated with Him in achieving this wonderful thing. And then bow your head and thank God for the privilege of having done so.
