    2. That "one color per line" could get confusing, because sometimes our lines merge back in on themselves when people have lived in a community for several hundred years. 2. Hi Mary, I have been on Roots Magic for 10 or 12 years. I started when it was called Family Origins and I think it is a phenomenal program. I know that Legasy people like it as much as we like RM. I have used it also way back and I just like RM better (personal taste). I have the Beta that will synch on my computer but have not been home or had the chance to work with it. Was hoping I could get in touch with you while we were doing the new vinyl wallcoverings in the Detroit Temple but we were pretty busy. We enjoyed your area and were sad to see how many people are suffering with the economy. Phyllis Lee Folsom CA In a message dated 4/22/2009 9:46:55 A.M. 3. There are 14 colors to choose from. You get to assign colors to whomever you please. You can assign to ancestors of X, descendants of X, or pick individuals from a list to identify gender, temple ordinances not completed, facts without sources, proved, not proved, etc. ----- Original Message ----- From: Mary S. 3. Mary, since you are looking for another program have you checked into Ancestral Quest ? I understand from my HPGL that it is an extension of PAF and he quite likes it. There is a charge of course but you might want to check it out as it does have bells and whistles that PAF itself does not have. 3. The most important part of using nFS is that your computer software be up to date. If you have NOT run the checks for hardware and software computability in the E-learning-- Do it. Go to the net dimensions website and log-in, the go to the "Other Family History Courses" and the first item is "Internet Learning System Check". Otherwise, your problem is probably an out-of-date Java. Update your Java program and that should solve the problem. Be sure to restart your computer afterwords. Mark E. Gower Mesa, Arizona, USA p.s. My connection with nFS has no problems. ---- Beverly <fls1ldy@cableone.net> wrote: ============= Don't know about other places, Mary, but here in Nampa, Idaho we have been having problems since late Friday. 3. If it is a census record, RA means "Rural Area". I guess it would refer to an unincorporated area. Here are some other census abbreviations for Canada. Census geographic areas * CA - Census agglomeration * CAR - Census agricultural region * CCS - Census consolidated subdivision * CD - Census division * CMA - Census metropolitan area * CSD - Census subdivision * CT - Census tract * DA - Dissemination area * DB - Dissemination block * DPL - Designated place * EA - Enumeration area * ER - Economic region * FED - Federal electoral district * FSA - Forward sortation area * LDU - Local delivery unit * LOC - Locality * MIZ - Census metropolitan area and census agglomeration influenced zone * PCA - Primary census agglomeration * PCMA - Primary census metropolitan area * PN - Place name * PR or Prov. - Province * RA - Rural area * Terr. - Territory * UA - Urban area * UP - Unincorporated place This is the link where I found the information. http://www12.statcan.ca/census-recensement/2006/ref/symb-ab-acr-eng.cfm Mary Scott Northville Ward Westland Michigan Stake Detroit Michigan Temple ________________________________ From: "Sahara346@aol.com" <Sahara346@aol.com> To: lds-ward-consultant@rootsweb.com Sent: Saturday, April 18, 2009 11:36:35 PM Subject: [LDS-WC] Anybody familiar with "French Canada" terms?
