I am searching for the family of Rebecca Caroline Layton. She was the daughter of Felix Layton (b. Tennessee) and Polly Waters. Rebecca was born on 1 Oct 1840 in Tennessee. She married William A. Chitwood on 18 Feb 1866 in Barry Co., Missouri. They had seven children: Columbia Tennessee Chitwood b. 16 Apr 1867 in Missouri, m. Nancy Anderson Mary "Mollie" B. Chitwood b. 9 Dec 1871 in Texas, m. William Martin Goins Margaret "Maggie" Emmeline Chitwood b. 8 Mar 1873 in Texas, m. George Henry Brown William Dallas Chitwood b. 7 Apr 1875 in Texas, m. Carrie Ann Carter James Perry Chitwood b. 30 Apr 1877 in Texas, m. Billie Parker I am a great great great granddaughter of Rebecca Caroline Layton (1840) and William A. Chitwood (1846).
