Squire was the son of Roark and Elizabeth Williams Lawson. I suspect that NJ was Nancy Jane Johnson who lived just a few houses away in the 1880 census. Roark Lawson was living in Claiborne County in 1870 and 1880. Another son--Isaac--was living in Claiborne County in 1870. A descendent of Isaac participated in DNA testing and the results match that of Henry's descendent. So, I think there is little doubt about Henry's ancestry. Give the DNA results and the census records, I am pretty confident that Roark Lawson was the son of (widow?) Elizabeth Lawson who lived nearby in 1830.
