The 1840 records only provide a tally, by age and gender. The 1840 records show three older sons who do not appear on the 1850 census. Sarah appears to have been Issac's second wife, she was too young to have been the mother of three teen-aged sons in 1840. There are no Lawsons shown in the 1830 records for Sussex County.
