Worthy was first married to a Lawson and had the sons Thomas and Drewry. She next married a fur trapper named John Benge. They had a son named Robbin or Robert Benge. It is said that he led a number of raids against the white man. Finally, Worthy married a Nathaniel Gist. They had a son named George. He was the creator of the Cherokee alphabet and later founded Haskell Indian College in Lawrence, KS. Based on the time of birth that you mentioned, I would assume the Nathaniel Gist you are seeking would have been a son of the Nathaniel Gist who married Worthy.
