The only "proof" we have to connect us to the "Falling River" group is DNA testing. There have been three of our lines to test. My husband, Tim, being of Governor Sevier Lawson's line. The other two are by chance closely related but not 100% the same as Tim's dna - and I believe, quite a surprise. I would LOVE for another family member to test....but it seems very expensive to have another family member test to get the same results. I find it difficult to find another family member - cousin - of Tim's to test. Not many of the Lawson men had boys or boys that then had descendants. ps....the "governor" part of Sevier's name was found thru the will/probate of Joshua. Again, very patriotic/political family!
