Martin, Edwin's uncle. Taken together, the files show that: 1. Edwin Lawson was the son of Wilkerson Lawson and Mahala Martin. 2. Wilkerson Lawson was the son of Hennis Lawson and Jaley (family not named). 3. Mahala Martin was the daughter of William Martin and Susan Wolf. 4. Wilkerson Lawson died on August 25, 1896 and Mahala Martin Lawson died January ?, 1896. 5. Alfred M. Martin was the son of William Martin (white man) and Susan Wolf and the brother of Mahala Martin. 6. William Martin was the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Martin. 7. Susan Wolf b. 1807 in Claiborne County, TN, was the daughter of George Wolf and the grandaughter of Dennis Wolf. 8. Susan Wolf Martin died in 1851 and William Martin died in 1866. 9. Other brothers and sisters of Alfred M. and Mahala Martin included Thomas F. Martin, Mary J. Ellis, Moses Martin, Martha Mitchell, Catherine M. Warren, and Margaret Buttry.
