I am not in the Lawson family. I have traced back to Albert Lawson born October 25, 1881 His address in 1918 was RFD, Gallipolis, Gallia, Ohio (WWI Draft Card). He married Clara Jones of Ohio. I estimate their marriage about 1904 probably West Virginia as oldest son on 1910 Ohio, Gallipolis, Gallia was Alvin, age 4, born W. Virginia. I don't know if all his children were from Clara, but I have 12: Alvin H; Clarence Alonzo; Gertrude E; Herman H or L; Kenneth B; Lois D; Ruth W; James E/Raymond;Lena Mae; Albert, Jr; Charles Edward. I found a listing in the 1900 census for an Alvin D Lawson in West Virginia. There is a listing for a son born in Oct of 1881 but it is listed as Harley. I believe this is a good match since Albert's son was Alvin. Mistakes like this do occur on names in census listings (nicknames, etc are found instead of a 'given' name). Look at it and see if this is not a good candidate for his family. Alvin was born in 1849 in West Virginia and his wife was Sarah A ?
