I only recently found that his given names was Governor Sevier (named for the first governor of Tennessee) and almost certainly descended from Joshua and Anna Lawson. I must admit this is based on research of others - Dale Summers of Greene Co., IL and Connie Lawson of Cambridge, WI - I defer to them for the details but i believe their work to be sound. Everything beyond that has been speculation based on the DNA test of Connie's husband Tim, who is a descender of Sevier's brother and had the same variants in his test. You should really talk to her, member name: tcealawson, to see the strength of our information. I think I have been a little too active in this message post based on my personal knowledge.
