It may be true, but so far no one has offered to provide any documentation in support of the theory. One thing that we have to consider is that Burrell and Clement were the same individual. In some ways, that would help sort this out. We do know that Banks Lawson posted bail for Pascal Lawson, suggesting that Pascal was a son or nephew of Banks Lawson. Pascal and Clement moved to Pike County, OH. I think this was the Clement who paid off Reuben Mabe's debt (actually Mary Mabe's debt). He was married to a Mary in 1850 Pike County.
