There is no record of their marriage, and she could have married him anywhere--NC or TN or IN. It could have been a second marriage for her as well. She could have had children by another husband. That is the problem that we face. On interesting fact is that Clement and Mecca had a son named Bird, and Bird joined the Union Army in MO during the Civil War with Hennis Banks, who was the son of John Banks, who I believe was the son of Jesse Banks. Hennis Lawson lived next to Jesse Banks in 1830 Jackson County, IN. So, this makes me suspect that Clement's first wife may have been a sister of Jesse Banks or Jesse Banks married a sister of Clement Lawson. So, this brings up the possibility again that Clement and Burrell Lawson were the same individual or that they were brothers. All that we know for sure is that the children of Banks, Hennis and Martin Lawson were cousins. It doesn't necessarily mean that the three were brothers.
