In 1898 there was a T.J. Brown bondsman at my g-grandpa's first wedding and in 1920 there was an S.M. Brown bondsman at his third wedding. Maybe descendants of Thomas Jr.? By the way, thanks for posting the Time Magazine link on Lawrence Lawson. It was new to me. To heck with the park service, Lawrence was a national heavy hitter!
