I wish I knew where Mom found her information, or if it was a surmisal. I checked CA death certs online today and it will be nearly $40, which I don't have. If Gaines never talked about his family I am afraid the death cert won't show much. I wish somebody had his military records. They might show his father. I can't afford it.
