They were not all rejected because their Cherokee heritage was not believed. At the beginning of the Guion Rolls it states that one could be rejected for those above reasons. When one finds several statements by several descendants in the Guion rolls that match they are likely to be true.They, in 1907/08, were only going back 2-3 generations which many people can do today with some accuracy. Back then people often sat aroudn and discussed the family more than today - no TV to entertain so they told old family stories/talked about relatives.
