The Lawson family came from Whitstable Kent, and were involved with many occupations, including farming and the sea. I believe the connection with this member of the family was due to the sea, especially when you read up on the road building that Whitstable became famous for, a by product of coal. Of course white washing ties in with the oyster shells, another connection. Could M have travelled back and forth between ports on barges, and met Isabella who I believe was also from seafarers? With family now spaced around the world, it great that we aee able to piece the history together, starting at thier place of birth, the farm now replaced by Sherwood Estate. So although I undertand the link, and have been in touch with Isabella's family, I am more involved with the Lawson's.
