Also when Andrew Jackson Lawson married Malinda Ann Foster 2 March 1854 in Patrick County, VA he indicated his parents were John Lawson and Patsy Hooker. In the Lawson Newsletter 25, page 249, it indicates that Patsy Hooker Lawson was believed to have died before the 1850 census. If this is the marriage and two people you are referring to then I am not sure that this John was a son of Randolph Lawson because Randolph had moved to TN and or KY before 1800.
