I, too, am looking for the Lawson-Sanders connection based on the DNA results. My Lawson connection is through a James Lawson, born 1819 and came into Polk County, TN before 1839. Oral history says that he was of the Falling River Lawsons, but DNA does not prove this. It has been my theory that IF he is of this family line, it is through a daughter (possibly unmarried). Another theory is that my James was taken in by someone in this family line and raised as a Lawson. Another researcher alerted me to records in Hawkins County, TN that showed the family of William Lawson (of the F-R line) were involved in a court case in 1822. One of their witnesses was a James Sanders. I have had e-mail contact with a Sanders researcher. She does not have any information relating to a Lawson-Sanders connection. Or any Sanders men who had a "love 'em and leave 'em" reputation for that matter. However, she did have an ancestor who passed through East Tennessee.
