M3 men are not. As of today (Sept 5, 2010), for anyone who is M346 , then M3 defines haplogroup Q1a3a1 and includes mostly men of native North American origin. I am M346 , L53 and M3- (currently called Q1a3a). My ancestry is from Alsace, France. Do you know if the Hooker kit numbers 135579 and N28623 are M3- or M3 ? If they have native American roots, I would be VERY surprised if they are M3-.
