According to the 1800 and 1810 census, Thomas was born about 1755, which would make him the ideal age to be a brother to Randolph. Randolph lives in some of the same places as my Boardvine Braswell (b. 1799 NC) and Elizabeth Lawson (b. 1803 NC), namely Clinton County, NC. Boardvine's and Elizabeth's youngest son, Thomas Lacey Braswell, moved to St. Francios (I think that is the spelling) County, in MO after the Civil War. I am sure that some of the Lawsons in Hawkins County, TN, are kin to the Thomas Lawson of Surry. More research needed. Maybe someone else will read our posts and have more information.
