My mom has a copy of the Lawson book that some others have mentioned on this forum. In it is Elizabeth who was known as "Liz." Her parents were indeed William "Sugar Bill" Lawson and Emelia "Millie." She did have a son with Judson Greer, Claude Greer, who is listed as dying before age 1. There's a picture of her with her mother who is holding baby Claude. I remember this because I was looking for info. in this book myself last Sunday and my mom and I were puzzled by the picture's information. We finally figured out that Elizabeth was incorrectly identified as her older sister Eliza Jane. If you need some further info., I can pass your questions to my mom to check for answers. William M. "Sugar Bill" Lawson and wife, Emilia "Millie" Sparks had 5 children: 1. Eliza Jane "Liza" Lawson marr. Joseph Franklin Gregory on 30 Dec 1880. 2. William States Lawson marr. Hannah Hicks Ann Fincher on 22 Feb 1880. 3. Cornelia E. Lawson b. 5 Feb 1868 d. 18 Apr 1878. 4. Charles Napoleon "Charlie" Lawson marr. Carrie Burdette Lancaster on 14 Jan 1895. 5. M. Elizabeth "Lizzie" Lawson marr. Arthur Judson Greer and they had Claude Furman Greer b. 1908 d. 1909. I know descendants of William States Lawson/Hannah Hicks Ann Fincher, who live at Cross Keys, SC. I goofed--the baby's name isn't Claude Furman--the Furman is a mistake on my part.
