I know her father was Amos son of Drewry and Hannah Potts Lawson of Claiborne Co., TN. DNA shows no Indian heritage thru the Lawson name, but the stories told were that Wurtah Watts was the mother of Drewry! I for one, have never found anything that ties him to her! Boy have I looked for records to prove that!! The name Greenberry was very common among folks in that time. I don't have any thoughts about where it originated or why!
