Alab. and was married 1st. to Martha Ann Wilder. Their son John W. Lawson was my grandfather. He was born on May 2, 1874 in Alabama. Leamon's father was John D. Lawson born in 1821, Anderson Co. Alabama and his wife Harriet Ann Poole born Jan 1828 in South Carolina. Does any of this tie into your line? Our Leamon was always just called Lee. She was the grandchild of Robert Bartley born 1776 in Guilford Co. NC son of John Bartley who lived "on the Va. line" I believe our Bartleys had to connect back in Va. to the Lawsons. I think they related to a Bartley of N J. in late 1600's but have not proven this. Robert had 2 siblings who went from Greene Co., Tn to Lee Co., Va. Robert came from N C to Washington Co., Tn and then went into Greene Co., Tn. His son John Wesley Bartley went into madison Co., NC area old Buncombe Co.
