We know in writing from his Hawkins County deed that Piney Lawson was his mother. Gaines left his property to his sister on the condition that she keep his mother until her death. McClellan Lawson was the brother or half brother of Gaines Lawson according to the census records. Piney wasn't actually living in the household of Riley Shanks in 1880 but in a separate dwelling on their property as was John Pine. We also know from pension file affidavits that the children of Hennis, Banks and Martin Lawson were cousins. The only questions is whether they were the children of Burrell Lawson, and whether Burrell Lawson was also Clement Lawson. Hello, I am seeking information on Myron Bernard Lawson, son of Andrew W. Lawson and Blanche Griswold. Myron was born about 1901 in Georgia. In 1910 he is listed with his family in Bibb County, Georgia. In 1920 I found him in New Orleans. I can find no other traces of him. His siblings were Lois Olive Lawson, Andrew Wilson Lawson, and Martha Lawson. His siblings were in North Carolina in the 1930s and 1940s. If anyone has any knowledge of Myron Bernard Lawson, I should appreciate your sharing it with me. I am particularly interested in his date and place of death. Also, did he ever marry? If so, to whom? One document I have mentions several "facts". Apparently, Col. Gaines Lawson was the uncle of Rev. Gaines Lawson. It also mentions Piney "Shanks" Lawson as being the mother of John, Clem, Jane, Gaines, and Francis Cave. And I can't for the life of me work out the "uncle" relationship. Since both of Rev.
