My great-great grandmother was Catherine Ann Laws. Born somewhere in VA on 1-29-1816, she married Abner Feagans on 4-7-1833, and soon after left to Illinois via Ohio. I know a reasonable amount about their Illinois life, but nothing about her (or Abner's, for that matter) parents, siblings, VA life or OH life. She and Abner had 10 children, but only 4 lived to see adulthood (another died as a teenager). One, Joseph Rufus Feagans, went on to become a famous composer, and another, Manly Feagans, served in the Civil War. Catherine died on 4-12-1876, 5 years after Abner. Any additional information you can provide would be much appreciated. I have been looking online a long time now, and have thus far gotten nowhere (until the discovery of this mail server!). Thanks!
