    3. This is off the subject of Law, and will be my last comment on expenses. Everyone is very kind to have replied to the genealogist's expense. Referring to costs of copies, postage, etc. In some cases I have been asked unecessarily for copies of pages and pages research (years of exhaustive work to compile). I will, if I can, comply with almost any request for copies if I feel that person is serious and interests me. I refer to some e-mails I have, one requested 120 pages of copies on the descendants of a particular surname. It turned out the person requesting the copies was eight generations removed from that surname. I sent that person their particular line of descent and then never heard from them again. I wonder if they are still interested in genealogy. Problem is I need to send information out without having to copy over and over the same info to send to people. (An update, putting a genealogy into computer Word program and sending that as am e-mail "attached file" has helped. Or printing out the computer files and sending that has also worked. I need to get a scanner (poor quality?) so I can have original material available in computer files that can be sent as an e-mail "attached file," then no fuss with photocopy machines, postage &c.) One other comment, I sent someone a worked out line, who then sent it to someone else who then published it and it is now for sale at $9. Now in copies sent out I always put "Not to be sold." Thanks, Jim Windsor
