Survived by three daughters, June (Martin) Minahan of Providence RI; Haroldine Prescott and Ann (David) Manley, both of Crest Hill; one son, Harold Prescott of Oak Lawn; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Harold Prescott; great-grandson, Steven Higgins and her parents, Frank and Anna Laws. Born in Nashville TN; lived in Evergreen Park before moving to Joliet 6 years ago. Dorothy was retired from South Chicago Community Hospital where she worked as a Medical Tech for 25 years. Member of the Theodore Street Lutheran Church. Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 29, 1997, at 10:00 a.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Forni officiating. Interment Oakland Memory Lane, Dalton IL. Visitation Sunday 12 noon-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
