Raleigh (NC) News and Observer December 13, 1997 ZEB LAWS Durham -- Zeb Laws, 87, of 1811 S. Alston Avenue, died Tuesday, December 9, in Cary Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was a native of Wake County and the son of the late Wes and Cora Pettiford Laws. He was a custodian with the Durham City Schools. He was a member of Saint Mark AME Zion Church and its trustee board, steward board and Sunday School. He was a member of Doric Lodge #28, F. & A.M. Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Saint Mark AME Zion Church by Rev. Avery Brown. Surviving are his wife, Zola Lipscomb Laws; nieces, Claudie Lee Prince and Deuremia Scott.
