Hello Laws researchers: I just received a list of the LAWS patriots who served in the Revolutionary War -- from a look-up person at the DAR. I am hoping someone will have information on one of these men -- to link him to my GG Grandfather. The one clue we have is from an obituary of one of his great grandsons. The obituary stated this great grandson had "come from Revolutionary stock." I am trying to find the parents or grandparents of my GG Grandfather - Selim (William Selim) LAWS who was born 1815-1820 in North Carolina. He was living in Iredell County, NC in 1850, but moved to Tennessee after the Civil War. His name has been spelled Selim, Celim, Salem, and one cousin has him as Bill (short for William) LAWS. Please -- can anyone place my William to any of these men? Thanks.
