I am very new at all this but am determined to find my family history. I grew up in St. Louis.I was always told my Mom's maiden name was Law and her Mother Maymie Law was born 12/12/1894 or96.Her mother was Lucinda but II'm not sure of her maiden name. I was always told it was Clemmons and her first husband and father of her kids( Maymie,John,Ed & Will) was Thomas Law. When he died she married A man named ? Curtain.Now my confusion....In the 1910 census in Butler co.,Mo where I always believed they came from, I find a Lucinda Catain,Edgar Catain,& Maymie,Johnnie& Eddie Laws. It says the kids are step kids & that she has 4 living children. Does any of this fit,if so now what do I do? Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks,Karen
