    3. I came across this LAWS info on the MORGAN list, while searching for a clue on my Selim LAWS lines of North Carolina. I wonder if this Joseph LAWS is related to my Selim? This MORGAN may be related to Eliza Jane MORGAN -- she married Selim LAWS' son - William E. LAWS. Selim LAWS m. Mary EUBANKS son: William E. LAWS b. abt 1842 North Carolina d. after July 1863 (Battle of Gettysburg) m. Eliza Jane MORGAN b. ______ d. abt 1871 son: Robert Edwin LAWS (was left an orphan after both William E. LAWS and Eliza Jane Morgan died. Robert was adopted by his grandparents -- Selim & Mary LAWS abt 1871) b. 28 OCT 1864 Windsor, Canada d. 19 OCT 1935 Covina, California m. Jennie M. I knew JOHN SMITHERS (SMITHEY) who lived on the upper Moravian tract. It was about 29 years ago before the land office was opened. We held our land then by AX ENTRIES. JOSHUA MORGAN lived on the lower tract on Cub Creek . ........ ______________________________
