He was born Sept. 10, 1922, in Riceville, son of Harold and Reva Laws. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Survived by: his wife, Mabel; two daughters, Jennifer Kirkman of Springfield and Billie Ray Chandler of Nixa, Mo.; and five grandchildren. Preceded in death by: two brothers, Gene and Walter "Pete." Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Walnut Lawn DeGraffenreid-Wood Funeral Home, Springfield, with graveside services and military rites at 2 p.m. in Taberville Cemetery, Taberville, Mo. There will be no visitation.
