    2. Hello Laws Cousins and List-------- Lois Leta Mattingly-Banks deceased on December 18, 2001 in Mount Vernon, Texas. Lois was born December 22, 1913 in Franklin County, Texas the second child and second daughter of James William (Jim) and Ida Savannah Hays Mattingly. Her paternal grandparents were Paulina Frances Laws and Thomas A. Mattingly. Lois married Roger Joe Banks February 12, 1937 in Mount Vernon, Texas who preceded her in death in January 2001. Also preceding her in death are her parents, and brother, James L. Mattingly and sister, Florine Mattingly-Simms. Surviving are son, Ralph Banks and wife, Judy of Austin, Texas and son, Zack Banks and wife, Lorraine of Tyler, Texas. Surviving grandchildren are Roger and Randall Banks, and Julie Banks-Gilmore of Austin, Texas; and Kendall Banks of Gladewater and Kristi Banks-Martinez of Tyler, Texas. Also surviving are great-grandchildren Hannah Banks, Samuel Banks, Kassia Gilmore and Max Gilmore, all of Austin, Texas; and Kiley Banks of Gladewater. Lois is also survived by sisters, Lelia Mattingly-Jordan-Roberts of Mount Vernon, Gertrude Mattingly-Banks of Winnsboro, Texas, and Betty Mattingly-South-Sechrist of Wills Point, Texas, and brother, Robert L. (Bob) Mattingly of Winnsboro. Lois also leaves a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and acquaintances who knew, loved and respected her, and who will miss her greatly. In addition to being a homemaker, Lois worked for and retired from Wilson Garment Manufacturing Company of Winnsboro. Funeral services were held at First Baptist Church of Mount Vernon with burial in Mount Vernon City Cemetery. Ralph Banks, Austin, Texas

    3. Ralph, I am sorry to hear about your Mother's passing. I know it's difficult and especially so here at the holidays. I hope God gives you and your family the strength you need to get through this difficult time. We lost my father-in-law on November 17. We miss him dearly, as I know you miss your mother.
