Hello, fellow "Laws" researchers....I'm still searching for info about my Martha Elizabeth Laws - my Great-Great Grandmother and her family: Martha Elizabeth Laws b. 5/11/1868 - New Tazewell,Claiborne County,TN d. 3/1941 - Texas She was left on the doorstep of two "old maid" aunts or relatives ?? as a baby....and raised by them. She grew up and married William Fletcher King there in New Tazewell, TN. One report says Martha was the daughter of Salem or Silem C. ?? Laws and his wife, Mary Eubanks. This Salem Laws and Mary Eubanks had seven children: Camelia, Susan Ruth, Mary, Laura I.C., Widey C., John A. and Martha. I don't know anything about this family. Is this MY Martha Elizabeth's family? Does anyone know where this Salem or Silem came from? Would appreciate info about Martha Elizabeth or her parents. Would love to solve the mystery of her being left on the doorstep. Thanks! Nancy :-)
