I have just received copies of the Raney collection that concern John Law and his direct descendants from the Roanoke Public Library Virginia Room. There is much repetition. However, for those who have a question it might be of some help. If you have a specific question about a specific person if you have at least approximate dates , spouses etc I might be able to help you. There is no index so please be patient with my answers. Please also remember this is someone else's research so take it for what it is worth. I used it to request specific documents from Franklin County. Please remember that typing is the only class I flunked in High School!!! For those who do not know, this work is a compilation from Franklin, Henry and Pittsylvania Counties with references to other localities(if you are lucky). There are transcribed census records from as early as 1810 to about 1870. It helped me fill in data on my line. Still looking for that elusive proof that David is John Sr.'s son but feel more so after seeing this data. Susan in CT
