LAWS EMPORIA--Alice M. Laws, 94, formerly of Emporia, died Monday, May 15, 1995, at a Eudora, nursing home. She was born Oct.22, 1900, at Arvonia, the daughter of John William and Frances Ann Edwards Parry. She lived in Hartford before she moved to Emporia in 1948. She was married to Earl Laws on Feb. 9, 1925, at Emporia. He died Aug 29, 1965. A daughter, Jo Ann Laws, died Oct. 20, 1944, and a son, Donald Dean Laws died Nov. 8, 1992. Survivors include a daughter, Betty Bowers, Montpelier, VT.:a son, Earl Laws, Jr., Gretna, La.; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Lincoln Cemetery in Lebo. Mrs. Laws will lie in state from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the Lincoln Cemetery in Lebo.
