I question the connection as my ancestors are believed to have come to the US from Belfast, Ireland in 1794. They arrived in PA., then settled in Ohio, Iowa, and Nebraska. They are believed to have originated in County Fife, Scotalnd, but that hasn't been proven yet. Some of the family went to West Virginia and on to Utah, but that was at a later date.
