MARY L. DICKSON DIED SATURDAY (Apr 10, 1948), HERE - Mrs. Mary L. Dickson, 78, of six miles northwest of Williamsburg, widow of Hugh Walter Dickson, died Saturday at 5 p.m. at Ransom Memorial hospital. She had been ill a week, and entered the hospital last Tuesday. Mary L. Laws was born November 29, 1896 in Jewett, Ill., daughter of James and Mary (Lowe)Laws. She had lived here 70 years, coming from Illinois when she was when she was 6 years old. She was married at Rosemont October 12, 1891 to Mr. Dickson, and he died September 2, 1828. Mr. Dickson operated the store at Rosemont many years. Surviving are a son and a daughter Walter B. Dickson, Merriam; and Mrs. Alice DeYoung, Kansas City; two brothers Oscar Laws, Lebo and Vincent Laws, Hartford; three grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. Mrs. Dickson was a member of the Episcopal church. The funeral is to be Tuesday at 10 a. m. from the Rosemont Methodist church. Rev. Eugene G. Malcolm of Grace Episcopal church, Ottawa is to officiate, and interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Williamsburg.
