Mrs. Fitzgerald and her husband, Julius Bernard, operated the Allen Hotel near Emporia for several years. Because he worked for the Missouri-Pacific railroad, they lived in several midwestern states before they moved to Coffeyville in 1973. She moved to the Manor House care center in Coffeyville in 1985. Before her marriage, she was employed by a telephone company in Kansas City, Mo. Lola Mae Law, the daughter of Willis and Melissa Porter Law, was born Sept. 19, 1901, at Elwood. She married Julius Bernard Fitzgerald on Jan. 21, 1920, at Independence, Mo. He died Nov. 25, 1973. Mrs. Fitzgerald was a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by 10 grandchildren, including her caregiver, Tim Fitzgerald; and 18 great-great-grandchildren. Three sons, Delbert, Julius and James Fitzgerald; a daughter, Eleanor; three brothers; three sisters; and a grandson died earlier. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Ford-Wulf-Bruns Edgewood Chapel at Coffeyville. The graveside service will be at 12:30 p.m. in Mount Olivet Cemetery at Parsons. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday and until service time on Saturday.
