'Billy Goat' Laws, age 84, of 3830 Noss Rd., died peacefully at his home Mon. morning, April 9, 2001. He was born in Wadena, MN, on May 22, 1916, the son of Joseph R. and Elsie M. (Brown) Laws. Glen attended Beloit Memorial High School. He was married to Jeanne Hamilton on Dec. 18, 1949. He retired in 1982 from General Motors. Glen was very active in Janesville Moose Lodge #197, holding several offices, earning his Fellowship Degree in 1985. He was awarded 'Moose of the Year' in 1998. Glen was an avid paperback and western book reader and a member of the Afton Community Church. Surviving are his wife, Jeanne Laws; his 6 children: Pat (Bob) Wyss, Sherry (Stan) Rulestead, Rollie Laws, all of Janesville, Dick Laws of Phillips, WI, Dennis Laws of Beloit, and Becky (Chuck) Hayes of Albany, WI; 25 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold (Nancy) Laws of Beloit; also several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Glen was preceded in death by 2 brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Mon., April 23, 2001, at the HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville, with the Rev. Rich Whippler officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3 until 6 p.m. at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME with a Moose Service at 5:30 p.m.
