Now I am searching for this Henry Laws b. cir 1790, of Littleport, Cambridgeshire. Thank you in advance for any responses! John LAWS john@laws.tc _________________ "Alice Harper, daughter of Benjamin and Mary (Pendle) Harper, was born in Feltwell, Norfolkshire and was christened there at Feltwell St. Mary's on 5 December, 1825. She married in England William Laws, son of Henry Laws, of Littleport, Cambridgeshire in England. In 1851 they were living at Methwold Fen. They came with the Harper family to America and lived for a time in Rochester, New York. By 1850 they were living in Fitchburg, Wisconsin, near Madison, in Dane Co. Later the Laws moved to Oregon and lived at Wolf Creek, near Grant's Pass. We have heard that Alice (Harper) Laws died in the 1890s in Oregon. We have not learned about the death of William Laws. The children of William and Alice (Harper)Laws were: 1. Henry Laws b. 1844 Methwold, Norfolkshire 2. William Laws b. 1851 Methwold, Norfolkshire 3. Mary Laws b. 1856 Fitchburg, Wisconsin
