Hi! Laws folks: I'm still trying to find the parents of my Selim C. LAWS (born 1816 in North Carolina). I came across an interesting name -- a Sela LAWS of NC. This Sela LAWS was born in 1814 in Wilkes County, and married Jeremiah HAMPTON, Jr. in 1829. This Jeremiah HAMPTON's mother was also a LAWS. Interesting! My question - the name Sela and the name Selim - female and male names, are so close -- could my Selim be a brother of this Sela? Help!!
