"Mo" Hagerthy, 54, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2002, at Palomar Medical Center. Born Aug. 30, 1947, in Boquete, Panama, she was a resident of San Marcos since 1974. She was a bilingual escrow representative for Chicago Title Co. She was in the real estate business since 1979. She was active with Mary Kay Cosmetics and the San Marcos Youth Soccer League. She was a referee for 25 years and the A.Y.S.O. named the 3Mo2 Award after her and it is given to the 3most dedicated person of the year in Youth Soccer. Mrs. Hagerthy is survived by her husband of 32 years, Tom Hagerthy of San Marcos; mother and father Lilia and Hiram Laws of Boquete, Panama, son and daughter-in-law Shawne and Shelly Hagerthy of San Marcos; daughter and son-in-law Dawne Hagerthy and Martin of Vista; brother Hiram Laws Jr. of La Crescenta; sister Marlene Sanchez of La Crescenta; nieces Sabrina and Liliana Sanchez of La Crescenta; and grandchildren Britanny and Brook Borgas of Vista, Paige, Keaton and Spencer Hagerthy of San Marcos, and Tyler Steckman of Escondido. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. and rosary recited at 7 p.m. today, Jan. 17, at Allen Brothers Mortuary, San Marcos Chapel. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Jan. 18, at St. Mark1s Catholic Church in San Marcos. Interment will follow at San Marcos Cemetery. Allen Brothers Mortuary is handling arrangements.
