I am going to be posting some older Laws obits that a kind person sent to me. She recognized the LAWS name as she was looking through some obit archives at her local library. She knew that I usually request Laws obits from her when she indexes them for the GEN-OBIT mailing list. I hope some of these are helpful to someone. If you get a hit, please let me know and I will forward her e-mail address to you. I am sure it would make her feel good to know she helped! Here is the first one: Joplin News Herald Joplin, MO June 24, 1941 SERVICES TOMORROW FOR BENNETT LAWS Picher, Okla., June 24 -- Funeral services for Bennett Laws, 41 years old, who died Saturday night of injuries received at the Lula Belle mine, near Hockerville, will be held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Hockerville Baptist Church.
